For almost six weeks, Evergreen Home Performance has been working hard at Mill Company Gardens in South Portland, Maine. The compex of 24 four-unit buildings was built in the 1940s to house Coast Guard workers at the nearby shipyards. Today, the waterfront apartments are getting an energy efficiency makeover, thanks to rebates from Efficiency Maine and Unitil.

The project - which will cut energy costs for Mill Co. residents by 25% and has already made their apartments warmer and cozier - was featured recently on the local news.
