It's been a big week for this 1933 Rockland bungalow. First, This Old House features the home as part of its Best Old House Neighborhoods special - and the story gets picked up from Bangor to Chicago.  (We're keeping tabs, because this adorable, ultra-efficient house belongs to Energy Advisor Jessie Davis.)

Today, it's the site of Jessie's BPI-recertification field exam.  She took (and aced) the written exam this morning, then headed over to audit her own house with George Callas of Build Green Maine, the independent BPI Affiliate who has tested most of Evergreen's other BPI-certified Building Analysts and Envelope Specialists.

It won't be the first time Jessie looks closely at her home's performance.  After she and her husband Dan bought the house two years ago, they invested $40,000 in a deep energy retrofit, which included a new heating system, heat recovery ventilator, insulation, and hot water heater.

"It might be trickier to do the test here," said Jessie.  "I'll have to pay attention to all the things I know but take for granted about my house."

We'll keep you posted.
