Evergreen Home Performance is growing! Since 2006, we’ve helped hundreds of homeowners gain comfort and cut costs. Along the way, we’ve trained dozens of home performance professionals.

Now it’s time to train a few more: We’re hiring new Field Technicians in the Portland-Brunswick area and in our home base of Rockland, Maine.

Energy efficiency work isn’t always easy – as our friends at Snug Planet say, “If hot, nasty, itchy attics and dank, wet, cobwebby crawlspaces give you pause, do not apply.” But it’s a particularly rewarding kind of work. Every year, we’re invited in to hundreds of homes. We meet fascinating people every day, and the work we do makes a real difference in their lives.

They were highly recommended. I found them to be very knowledgeable and so helpful, with practical ideas. Despite my not living within their service area, they were generous with their knowledge, describing the usual solutions to correct leaks in my basement, and what the result is likely to be by following path A, B or C, and why. We absolutely loved our experience with Evergreen. The team was incredibly kind, professional and great to work with. We're very impressed with the quality of work of the Evergreen team and how easy they made everything! Our house had barely any insulation ahead of this project and the results are amazing. Insulating the attic, walls and basement with Evergreen allowed us to tear a 50-year-old furnace, ductwork and oil tank out of the basement and now heat the home with new heat pumps. Evergreen also added 100 sq ft of clean, new storage space to the attic!

Evergreen did everything they said they would and more. I actually don't mind going into the basement now since they sealed it. The air quality in the house is noticeably better and it's warmer in the winter. We can even store clothing down there where before, whatever was in there would mildew. Even the spider population declined! I used to vacuum so many of them from the corners of the ceilings in the house. Not any more!

Our basement was the eyesore of the house. I wanted to make improvements, but first needed to make structural, insulating and moisture mitigation improvements. Evergreen was professional and competent in taking on a complex project of not only encapsulation and insulation of basement and crawlspace, but completed needed improvements to the structural integrity of the wood floor platform above a crawlspace and brought in a concrete contractor to pour where there was once a rotting, tiered wood platform - replacing that area with a more functional and tight tiered concrete area.
