Evergreen also offers financing through the National Energy Improvement Fund (NEIF), a Certified B Corp lender. Their EnergyPlus Loan covers $2,500 to $35,000 at a fixed rate over 3, 5, or 10 years, with no lien or home equity required.
Efficiency Maine Green Bank home energy loans
Through the Efficiency Maine Green Bank, homeowners can borrow up to $25,000 with a few straightforward options. Calculate your monthly payment on the Efficiency Maine site.

No collateral required. No application fee and no prepayment penalty. Up to 25% of the loan can cover non-insulation costs tied to the project, things like moisture mitigation, hazardous material removal, or roof repair ahead of attic insulation.

Qualifying for the income-based rate: You qualify if you or someone in your household receives HEAP, SNAP, TANF, or MaineCare, or if your household’s adjusted gross income is at or below $70,000 (single or head of household) or $100,000 (married filing jointly). Submit your documents online, and approval is good for one year.
