Starting a business comes with plenty of headaches, but one of the many rewards comes from building an organization we’re proud of. At Evergreen Home Performance, that means responsible business practices like family-friendly wages, on-the-job training, and health insurance for all of our employees. It also means supporting the community organizations we care about.
Evergreen is especially proud to support of the Midcoast Community Chorus. Driven by their mission to “sing as a community, for the community,” the 130-member group chooses another community organization as the beneficiary of its June concert every year. This year, MCC proudly presented $10,000 to the Restorative Justice Project, which promotes fundamental change in the way communities deal with crime and wrongdoing, emphasizing responsibility and restitution rather than punishment. RJP relies heavily on mentors, and will hold several free training sessions for interested volunteers this summer.
