2026 Efficiency Maine rebates for insulation and air sealing
Rates below apply to insulation and air sealing projects completed on or after October 1, 2026. Attic, wall, and basement insulation each qualify as a separate zone, so most homes get more than one rebate. Zones under 500 square feet use the small rate, zones of 500 square feet or more use the large rate.

Insulation and air sealing rebates count toward one lifetime cap per home: $8,600 for most homes, $5,600 for mobile homes.
2026 Efficiency Maine rebates for heat pumps

Single-wide mobile homes have different limits: $12,900 low income, $2,000 moderate income, $1,000 any income.
Heat pump water heater rebates
$1,150 rebate, all income tiers. Available as an instant discount at participating retailers, or as a mail-in rebate if you buy elsewhere. ENERGY STAR certified heat pump water heaters run up to four times more efficient than a standard electric water heater, saving a household of four an estimated $550 a year on electric bills.
How income tiers work
Efficiency Maine sets three rebate tiers based on household income. Here’s how to know which one applies to you.

Applies to owner-occupied homes in Maine. Work must be done by an Efficiency Maine registered vendor, which we are. Rebate claims are due within six months of project completion.
