What is there to say about June?
It’s either 90 degrees or cold and rainy, and three days into the month, we’ve already managed both. Since there’s no cutesy weather saying (no in like a lion, out like a lamb; no April showers or May flowers), I’m proposing this one:
Home Performance in June’s not a moment too soon.
Unfair as it may be, you need home performance just as much all summer as you do all winter. Of course, warm weather brings a different set of problems – but they all have the same solution. The underperforming insulation that kept you shivering all winter will keep you sweating all summer. Since most Maine homes don’t have central air conditioning, uncomfortable summers are the flip side of our high winter fuel bills. Strategic air sealing and expertly-installed insulation will improve comfort and cut costs year-round.
